Hi All!
I was so excited Mom & Dad took me to the Western Washington All Breed Dog Show Cluster. It was at the Puyallup Fair Grounds. Over 2500 dogs attended the festivities. It was January 14th till the 16th, 2012. It was pretty good weather for the first couple of days then we ended up with snow for the last two.
I got to watch how every one got to strut their stuff. It looked like a lot of fun but hard work. The one thing I noticed as soon as we came in the door of the American Show Plex was all you smelled was soap. Not a good dog smell to be had, but everyone sure looked good. The owners were all dressed up nice, they all seemed well behaved. All the pups looked like they had them under control.
I met some new friends at the show. One of the biggest was Rainy Days Eight Second Ride, “Cowboy” for short. He was HUGE! Cowboy was very nice. He is 3 years old & a Brindle Mastiff. He brought his people with him, Susan & Tim Pearson. They live in Maple Valley, Wa. When I stopped by to say hello they were eating lunch. Tim was very nice and giving Cowboy whole hamburgers. It was amazing how fast they disappeared, Cowboy had worked up an appetite showing his people.
I went to the Pavilion to check things out and I met Rags. He wasn’t showing that day but was getting a trim from his groomer,Sheri Kennedy. He was looking spiffy. Rags had Shelley Halma bring him to the show. Upstairs they had agility trials going on. I enjoyed watching them. I think I might see if Mom would go and learn this, it looks fun.
I go back to the Show Plex for some shopping. Evanger’s Dog Food had a booth. We stopped in to look around. It was nice to see Maryln Lovell, she was swamped. Mom always buys me nummies when we see her. Mom stocked up with 2 cases. It is a good thing too,we are supposed to get a big snow storm in the next couple of days.
We met Coy Koshka-Chandler, she has The Showoff Collection. Really cute dog coats and matching gloves for Moms. I had fun trying them on. I hope I can talk Mom into buying me one soon. If you want to check out the coats the website is http://www.fauxfurdogclothing.com Off to do more shopping. Dad bought scones for breakfast from the Fischer scone booth, they are always yummy!

Last stop was by the awards table. Wow! So pretty, I would sure like one of these. Maybe someday!
I hope you enjoyed my outing to the dog show. If you haven’t ever been, you should try it sometime. You get to meet the nicest friends.
It has started to snow Woo! hoo!
Woof & Wags!
Kona!
Hey Kona, Jet here. Wow, thanks for sharing, the dog show sounds like a blast. Since I’m not a pure bred, (flat coat/border collie mix-ish), these folks do not care much about me. Liked reading about the vendors and stuff. You certainly deserve an award for being the best you! Mom found your blog on LinkedIn. Thanks for sharing, keep us posted.
